Found in 1919, the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) is a national non-profit, non-partisan, bilingual organization of close to 10,000 women university graduates in 122 clubs across Canada. CFUW is a non-government organization with consultative status with the United Nations committee on the Status of Women (ECOSOC). CFUW is affiliated with the International Federation of University Women (IFUW). CFUW Haliburton Highlands accepts associate memberships.

CFUW-HH's general meeting is the second Thursday of the month, with various stimulating interest groups meeting throughout the month.
